Interna ist ein Würfel mit teils transparenten Bildern an jeder Seite, der nachts von innen leuchtet. Platziert ist die Arbeit auf einer Laderampe des ehemaligen Pfanni-Produktionsgeländes im Werksviertel Mitte, München, zwischen Großbaustellen u.a. für die Konzerthalle, Bürogebäuden für Start-Ups, Partymeile.
Zu sehen sind in den 4 Bildern Elemente von Baustellen, Details moderner Architektur und die menschliche Figur, arbeitend wie müßig gehend. Die Umgebung ist so in den Bildern repräsentiert, in der abstrahierten Darstellung jedoch übertragbar gemacht. Die Arbeit steht für eine sich verändernde und diverse Stadtgesellschaft schlechthin. Durch die Transparenz der verwendeten Folien ergibt sich beim Umschreiten des Bilderwürfels eine Überschneidung der Motive – ein tatsächlicher Bild-Raum entsteht und neue Perspektiven werden offenbar.
Interna is a cube with partly transparent pictures on each side; at night, it glows from within. The work is located on a loading ramp of the former Pfanni production compound in the Munich district of Werksviertel Mitte, between construction sites for the Concert Hall, office buildings for start-ups, Party Mile et al.
To be seen in the four pictures are elements of construction sites, details of modern architecture, and the human figure engaged in work or taking a leisurely walk. Thus the surroundings are represented in the pictures even as they are made transferrable in the abstract depiction. The work stands for a changing and diverse urban society per se. Upon walking around the pictorial cube, the transparency of the utilized foils causes the motifs to overlap; an actual picture-space arises and new perspectives become apparent.
