„Akteure der Stadt“ ist eine in Collage-Technik entstandene Arbeit, die einerseits mit einer grafischen und farbstarken Werbeästhetik spielt, sich andererseits der schnellen Deutung entzieht und so für Rätselhaftigkeit und Dialog sorgt. Dargestellt ist eine urbane Situation bestehend aus einer Mischung von verschiedenen Formen, Vorder- und Hinterschneidungen sowie Figuren. Die dargestellten Menschen sind angehalten inmitten ihrer Bewegung, die farbigen, abstrahierten Flächen scheinen zusammenhangslos im Bildraum zu schweben. Eine Momentaufnahme von städtischem Erfahrungsraum.
Entstanden ist die Arbeit 2021 für das Projekt „Kunstlitfaßsäulen Salzburg“, zu dem jährlich vom Kulturamt Salzburg ca. 10 Künstler*innen eingeladen werden, eine künstlerische Intervention im August während der Festspielzeit auf einer Werbefläche zu gestalten.
“Actors of the City” is a work created using the collage technique, which, on the one hand, plays with a graphic and colorful advertising aesthetic, and on the other, defies rapid interpretation and thus creates mystery and dialogue. An urban situation is shown consisting of a mixture of different shapes, front and undercuts and figures. The depicted people are stopped in the midst of their movement, the colored, abstract surfaces seem to float incoherently in the pictorial space. A snapshot of urban space of experience.
